Mid-Western Regional Council’s sewerage schemes operate under Environment Protection Licences regulated by the NSW Environment Protection Authority 

Under the protection of the Environment Legislation Amendment Act 2011, Council is required to prepare a Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP) for each Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). The PIRMP is reviewed annually.
