Local history

The library's local history collection includes a wide range of books, maps and resources detailing historic and contemporary aspects of the region. Explore parish maps, books on the origin of our towns and heritage buildings, books about the area, local stories and and works by local authors. Archived local newspapers are available on microfilm.

Genealogy

The library provides access to over 500 items that provide information on births, deaths and marriages, pioneer registers, ship passenger lists, census data, and guides for tracing ancestors and convicts. Staff are available to assist with tracing your family tree.
