Local Transport Forum

The Local Transport Forum (LTF) supports councils in managing local and regional roads safely and consistently under the Transport for NSW Authorisation and Delegation Instrument (2025).

The Forum provides expert, coordinated advice from Transport for NSW, NSW Police, local Members of Parliament, and public transport operators on traffic regulation, road design, and event management proposals. It promotes collaboration, transparency, and best practice in local transport planning.

Local Traffic Committee meetings

The Mid-Western Regional Council LTC meets once each month, except January. Currently the nominated meeting date is the third Wednesday of each month, however this is subject to change, depending on the availability of committee members.

Note: Items for consideration by the Local Transport Forum must be submitted in writing, at least two weeks prior to the meeting date via email at council@midwestern.nsw.gov.au
