Council is only responsible for clearing the sewer line up to and including the boundary trap. Contact Council and report the issue, or submit a works request online. In this situation Council water and wastewater staff will check the boundary trap to ensure that it is clear. If it is and sewerage is still surcharging from the grated drain next to your house, a licensed plumber will need to be called.
