Pay your rates and water

Payments for rates and water notices can be made online, in person, via mail, phone, or direct debit.

Instalment due dates each year are 31 August, 30 November, 28 February and 31 May.

Council’s new online payment experience

Make quick and easy payments using your credit card, debit card, bank account or set up a direct debit. 

Using our new service you have the ability to:

  • Make a one off payment
  • Set and forget payments via bank account, credit or debit card
  • Pay in weekly, fortnightly and monthly instalments
  • Freedom to update your scheduled payment without having to contact Council;
  • See live balances of your rates accounts;
  • Receive SMS reminders when payments are due;

BPay

Contact your participating Bank, Credit Union or Building Society to make payments from your cheque, savings or credit card account. Ensure that you select the correct Biller Code for rates and water consumption payments respectively which can be found at the bottom of the notice.

You may also receive your notices electronically via BPay View with the option to receive, pay and store notices in your online banking account.

The BPAY Biller Code and your BPAY View registration number are located next to the BPAY logo on the front of your latest notice.

Step 1.Pay with Council

MasterCard and Visa credit card payments can be made for your rates or water account by calling 1300 133 369.

Step 2.Pay by BPay

Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society and use your debit account and Biller Code to pay over the phone.

Step 1.Visit Us

Bring your rates and charges notice or water consumption notice and pay by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card at any of our Customer Service Centres:

Step 2.Australia Post

Visit any Australia Post office or agency to pay your account. Please ensure you take your rates and charges or water consumption notice with you. Payment can be made via cash, cheque or EFTPOS.
