Mudgee CBD parking changes

Some on-street parking locations within Mudgee CBD will change from all-day parking to a two-hour limit from August to improve accessibility for all.

An independent parking study of Mudgee CBD recommended a change of parking hours and conditions outside businesses and school zone areas to improve access during both weekdays and weekends.

These changes have been made at the following three locations (see attached map) within the Mudgee CBD: Market Street (outside Council’s Customer Service Centre and Robertson Park), Mortimer Street (outside St Matthew’s School and the Oriental Hotel) and Church Street (outside First National and the Central Motel).

A separate location on Perry Street (outside Mudgee Community Preschool and Robertson Park), will have a two-hour limit between 8.30am and 2pm (Monday to Friday).

Updated street signage with the new time limits will be installed over coming weeks with the restrictions coming into effect on 1 August.

Motorists are asked to please follow these new parking rules which will be enforced by Council parking inspectors.

All day CBD parking is still available in the Short Street car park behind Council’s Mudgee Customer Service Centre.
