The region’s most beloved festival, Flavours of Mudgee, has returned for its twelfth year with 10,977 people spilling into Mudgee’s CBD to taste award-winning food and wine.
Visitors to the region attending the event spent $1.17 million locally during their stay based on economic data.
Mayor of the Mid-Western Regional Council, Des Kennedy said after 12 years Flavours of Mudgee is still as popular as ever.
“Council is extremely proud of this event and what it delivers for the region, both in terms of economic benefits as well as broader exposure for our winemakers and food producers,” Mayor Kennedy said.
“And it’s not just visitors, Flavours is hugely popular among locals, providing an opportunity for the region’s residents to be reminded of the fantastic food and wine produced right here in our own backyard.”
More than 60 local stallholders lined Church and Market Streets in near-perfect conditions under sunny skies reaching 25 degrees.
“I’d like to extend a warm thanks to all our stallholders and suppliers for making the event such of great success.”
This year’s event was proudly supported through Destination NSW’s Regional Event Fund with a $30,000 marketing grant.
Planning is already underway for next year’s event which will be held on Saturday, 26 September 2026.
