Events Assistance Applications Now Open

Local event organisers are encouraged to apply for funding and in-kind support through Council’s Events Assistance Program, with applications opening today (Friday, 1 March).

The program is open to not-for-profit events scheduled to take place between 1 July 2024 and 31 December 2024.

Events demonstrating proven success over a period of at least two years are eligible to apply for multi-year funding, with the option to request support for up to three years within a single application.

Events requesting 100 percent in-kind assistance, covering activities such as field or venue hire, traffic management, and waste services will be awarded an additional 10 bonus points in the scoring review process.

General Manager Brad Cam said the program requires events to demonstrate the value they provide to the community.

“The program aims to offer financial support to community events that contribute to the local economy and draw visitors to the region’. Mr Cam said.

“Council invites event organisers to submit their applications for funding of up to $3,000. The funding is earmarked for events taking place in the second half of the year”

Applications can be lodged online via Council’s website until 4.30pm on Sunday 31 March.
