Mudgee Flood Risk Management Study and Plan

Council, at its ordinary meeting held on 15 April 2026, resolved to place the Mudgee Flood Risk Management Study and Plan on public exhibition for 28 days to seek comment and input from the community. 

The Mudgee Flood Risk Management Study and Plan has been prepared to improve Council’s understanding of flood behaviour and flood risk within the Mudgee catchment. The study will inform future land‑use planning, development assessment, emergency management and flood risk mitigation.

Council welcomes written submissions on the above matter. Submissions must be addressed to the General Manager and received prior to 4.30pm on Tuesday, 2 June 2026

A community information session will be held during the exhibition period, where Council’s flood study consultant will be available to explain the study and answer questions. Further details will be provided shortly, and documents are available at Council’s Customer Service Centres.
