Draft - Hardship Provision Policy Review

Council, at its ordinary meeting held on Wednesday, 19 November 2025 resolved to place the Hardship Provision Policy - Draft on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

Council has prepared a Draft Hardship Provision Policy to provide assistance where possible, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 NSW (LGA) and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 NSW, to those ratepayers who are experiencing substantial financial difficulties in paying their rates and charges, and some specific fees, and to provide an administrative process to determine hardship applications. The draft policy is now on public exhibition for community feedback.

Council welcomes written submissions on the draft policy, addressed to the General Manager and received prior to 4.30pm on Friday, 26 December 2025.
