Council, at its ordinary meeting held on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, resolved to place the Council Advisory Committee Guidelines - Draft on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

The draft Council Advisory Committee Guidelines provide a consistent framework for the establishment, operation and governance of all Council Advisory Committees established under s355 of the Local Government Act 1993.

Adoption of the Guidelines will ensure clarity of purpose, roles, responsibilities and authority across all committees, and promote consistent meeting practices and governance arrangements.

Council welcomes written submissions on the draft policy, addressed to the Governance Coordinator and received prior to 4.30pm on Friday, 20 March 2026.
