Native Frog Workshop
Event date: Thursday, 06 November 2025 | 06:00 PM
to 08:30 PM
Join Council and Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water's David Coote, Senior Team Leader of Ecosystems and Threatened Species, for a ribbiting good time at MAP’s Cultural Workshop Centre! Our Native Frog Workshop will leap into action with fascinating educational talks, trivia, and fun for all ages.
Did you know frogs are considered indicator species, helping scientists monitor ecosystem health? Or that every frog makes a unique sound? Discover these and more froggy facts while learning how you can support the Australian Museum’s FrogID Week.
The evening begins with a theory session at the Mudgee Cultural Workshop Centre, followed by a hands-on exploration of the Cudgegong River and Putta Bucca Wetlands. You’ll learn how to identify frog calls and contribute to citizen science in a meaningful way.
Whether you're a frog enthusiast or just curious, this croaking good time promises food, fun, and plenty of amphibian adventures!
What to bring: enclosed footwear, insect repellent, and a head torch or flashlight.
Please note: Numbers are capped due to venue capacity. Bookings are essential via Eventbrite.
