Join the largest celebration for seniors in the southern hemisphere. The 2026 Mid-Western Regional Seniors Festival will run from 2-15 March. Try something new, meet new people and have a great time at local free and discounted events.
The 2026 Mid-Western Regional Senior Citizen awards recognise outstanding contributions and achievements to the community by senior citizens of the Mid-Western Regional Local Government Area. Nominations are open to individuals or organisations whose membership is predominantly made up of persons aged over 55 years based in the Mid-Western Regional Local Government Area. One award will be presented to an individual or organisation in each of Mudgee, Gulgong, Windeyer, Rylstone and Kandos at award presentations in each centre during the 2026 Seniors Festival. Entries close Friday, 13 February.

Seniors aged 55 and over living in the Mid-Western Regional Council area are invited to showcase their skills in the 2026 Seniors Festival Competition. Entries are invited in the following categories: Art, Craft, Photography, Poetry and Prose. Prizes include a $100 Mudgee Money gift card for first place, with $50 and $30 gift cards for second and third place winning entries. Entries close on Monday 9, March. Entries will be displayed in an Exhibition at Mudgee Arts Precinct from 11-18 March.
