Mudgee CBD will light up with illuminated displays, food and entertainment on Friday, 31 March for a free family night out.

Mudgee Glow is a free family event held across Robertson Park and Market Street from 6pm - 9pm. 

Watch spectacular projections as a number of key buildings, including Mudgee Town Hall, are lit up.

The treelined Market Street will be decorated with a dusting of fairy lights as roving entertainment and food trucks will be installed in Robertson Park.

If you can’t make it on the Friday night, don’t worry, the projections and tree lights will remain active in the weeks following the event.

Illuminated buildings

A number of buildings in Mudgee CBD will be lit up. Wander along Market Street and take in the fascinating light shows and trees dusted with sparkling fairy lights.

Parking

Plenty of free parking for the event is available via Council’s Short Street car park.

Market Street (between Perry and Douro Streets) will be closed on Friday, 31 March from 3.30pm –10.00pm for the event. Access to Australia Post will remain in place till 5.00pm. Residents and businesses are advised to use alternative parking areas on Perry Street and in Council's Short Street car park during this time.

 

   


Working the Waters - Mudgee Arts Precinct

Mudgee Glow coincides with the opening of the latest exhibition at Mudgee Arts Precinct, 'Working the Waters'. Make the most of your night out and experience all the magic of Mudgee Glow, and visit this immersive video exhibition by local artists.

About the exhibition

Guest Curated by educator, curator and arts writer Ann Finegan, Working the Waters features a collection of video and installation works by artists Christine McMillan, Terry Burrows, Sue Pedley, Tina Havelock Stevens, Josephine Starrs & Leon Cmielewski.

Cinematic works including immersive projections, invite the audience to contemplate their surroundings and landscape, offering an insight into the many contradictions of human psychology and the limitations of our foresight – or lack thereof – in respect of working the waters.

All are invited to the opening night of 'Working the Waters' at Mudgee Arts Precinct, 90 Market Street Mudgee.
