Free Compost Giveaway

We’re giving back to our community with free compost made from your kerbside FOGO collections — and it’s all thanks to your efforts in using the green bin correctly. Once the compost is gone, that’s it for this giveaway. Supplies are limited, come early to avoid missing out.

Where: Glen Willow Complex (just down from the dog park)
When: 9am–3pm | Saturday, 25 October 2025
How: Self-load only – bring your own shovel, bags, or trailer. limit 1m3 per household
Open to residents of the Mid-Western LGA

This compost is processed and pasteurised at the Dubbo Regional Organics Processing Plant and meets Australian Standards (AS4454) — thanks to your clean green bin habits.

Why clean FOGO matters:

No plastic or contamination = high-quality compost for local gardens

Using your compost:

Garden Beds: 50% compost + 50% sand/loam and mulch
Turf Top-Dress: 60% compost + 40% sand/loam
Mixing helps prevent plant burn and improves soil health
