Mudgee Airport will be reopened in a staged approach, with access currently available for small aircraft.

The airport was closed this week to allow engineers to assess the structural integrity of the runway following a 110mm rain event over the weekend, just two weeks after a similar event.

It is expected the airport will reopen at full capacity to commercial planes, including FlyPelican passenger services, on Monday morning at the completion of initial testing, comparative testing and specialist reviews.

Council apologises for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciates the patience of all airport users.

For information about flight rescheduling contact FlyPelican on 4965 0111.
