Council is calling on business owners throughout the region to take a brief online survey to help identify workforce gaps and recruitment challenges across the region.

The survey is part of Council’s ongoing efforts to better understand the needs of local employers and develop practical strategies to support business growth and strengthen the regional workforce.

“We’re hearing from many local businesses that finding and keeping the right staff is a growing challenge,” Mayor of Mid-Western Regional Council, Des Kennedy said.

“This survey is a chance for businesses to have their voices heard and to help shape solutions that work for our region.”

The survey is open to businesses of all sizes and industries and takes less than two minutes to complete.

The information gathered will guide future initiatives that improve workforce connections, training, and recruitment support across the Mid-Western Region.

This initiative forms part of Council’s broader commitment to economic development, workforce resilience, and supporting a thriving, sustainable future for the Mid-Western Region.

The survey is available on here and closes 4.30pm Friday, 16 May.
