The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will return to Mudgee this Saturday (1 April) to take on the Newcastle Knights at Glen Willow.

Tickets are still available for the 3pm game at 123tix.com.au

Gates will open at 12 noon with the Peter McDonald Premiership Round 1 against the Mudgee Dragons and Forbes Magpies kicking off at 12.30pm before the main event.

Mayor Des Kennedy said he is thrilled to welcome back Manly for its third home game in Mudgee.

“The club has won every time they’ve played here in Mudgee, last year defeating the Canberra Raiders 25-6 in front of a crowd of 6972 people,” Cr Kennedy said.

“This event generated $1.4 million for our local economy, demonstrating that the benefits of hosting major sporting events are significant.

“We’re expecting another good crowd with near perfect conditions for Saturday, the forecast is for a partly cloudy day with a high of 24.”

Round 5 of the NRL Premiership Sea Eagles v Knights will be held at 3pm on Saturday, 1 April at Glen Willow.

This event is being delivered through the support of the NSW Government’s Regional Event Acceleration Fund.

Pitts Lane and the Glen Willow suspension bridge will both be closed on Saturday reopening on Sunday.
