Council will be offering free microchipping for cats and dogs in Mudgee next month.

Local pet owners are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity and potential saving and have their pet microchipped for free on Saturday, 22 October at Mudgee Dog Park (via Glen Willow, Pitts Lane) from 10am to 1pm.

Bookings are not required, however please ensure that all dogs are on a lead, and all cats in a cat carrier.

By law, dogs and cats must be microchipped from 12 weeks of age or before being sold, given away or released from the pound and must be registered from six months of age.
