Pay your rates and water

Payments for rates and water notices can be made online, in person, via mail, phone, or direct debit.

Instalment due dates each year are 31 August, 30 November, 28 February and 31 May.

Make quick and easy payments online using your Visa or MasterCard for all rates and water accounts.

Please note: You will require the individual Customer Reference Number (for each Rates and Water) to make payment. Refer to the bottom of your rates or water to find the relevant number and follow the links below to make your online payment.

WATER PAYMENTS 

Please note: Mid-Western Regional Council offers secure online payments and does not view, store or retain any of your credit card details. Alternative methods of payment are available if you are uncomfortable with transmitting your payment online.

When you choose to make an online payment via Council's pay online portal, you will be redirected to Council's payments provider, the National Australia Bank (NAB), for the completion of your transaction.

Mid-Western Regional Council uses National Australia Bank’s NAB Transact Pay by Web service to ensure your credit card details are secure. The SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol on this service encrypts data so that the information is protected during transmission to NAB.

BPay

Contact your participating Bank, Credit Union or Building Society to make payments from your cheque, savings or credit card account. Ensure that you select the correct Biller Code for rates and water consumption payments respectively which can be found at the bottom of the notice.

You may also receive your notices electronically via BPay View with the option to receive, pay and store notices in your online banking account.

The BPAY Biller Code and your BPAY View registration number are located next to the BPAY logo on the front of your latest notice.

Direct debit

Pay your rates and water accounts by direct debit in full, quarterly, fortnightly or weekly instalments. You will still receive your rates and water notices and no additional charges apply.

To set up a direct debit, or to amend or cancel your existing direct debit rates payments you will need to be the direct debit account holder, or have authority to act on behalf of the ratepayer (such as a power of attorney) and can use the online form to submit your request.

Step 1.Pay with Council

MasterCard and Visa credit card payments can be made for your rates or water account by calling 1300 133 369.

Step 2.Pay by BPay

Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society and use your debit account and Biller Code to pay over the phone.

Step 1.Visit Us

Bring your rates and charges notice or water consumption notice and pay by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card at any of our Customer Service Centres:

Step 2.Australia Post

Visit any Australia Post office or agency to pay your account. Please ensure you take your rates and charges or water consumption notice with you. Payment can be made via cash, cheque or EFTPOS.
