Construction of the all-new Mudgee Team Training Village is now complete and the community is invited to come along for a first glimpse.

Residents will have the chance to tour the complex and its high-performance gym, recovery pools, seminar rooms, and premium accommodation suites on Thursday, 19 June.

Mayor Des Kennedy welcomed all residents to see the state’s newest premium training venue right here in Mudgee.

“Whether you're an athlete, a fitness enthusiast, or simply curious about construction that has been happening at Glen Willow, this is your chance to explore the facility and learn more,” Cr Kennedy said.

“With capacity to host up to 96 guests as part of a group booking, the venue will generate a new revenue stream for Council. We’re actively pitching to elite sports clubs as well as school groups, large carnivals and corporate groups and have received significant interest.”

Cr Kennedy said he is thrilled to see the buildings finished after more than 18 months of construction.

“Every inch has been thought of, from seminar rooms equipped with cutting-edge digital technology, to a commercial kitchen and dining space, outdoor recreational areas designed to promote team building, a high-performance gym with hot and cold recovery pools, a games room, dedicated medical room, and on-site laundry facilities.”

The Mudgee Team Training Village Open Day will be held on Thursday, 19 June from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. No bookings necessary. Walk-ins welcome. Mudgee Team Training Village is located at 62 Putta Bucca Road, Mudgee.

This project has been made possible through generous grant funding from the Australian Government’s Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program, as well as the NSW Government’s Resources for Regions and Multi-Sport Community Facility Fund.
