Creative Fridays

Have you got a creative project or idea you would love to develop? Bring it along to our Creative Friday sessions for an afternoon of collaboration, fun and creative exploration.

Held each Friday during the school term at the Mudgee Arts Precinct Cultural Workshops.

Creative Fridays are an opportunity for young people to come together and create in a common space. Each term we will discuss ideas around specific creative themes. This term we will look at 'Story-telling' and how to use it to engage audiences. Special guest creative mentors will also be invited to these sessions to share professional skills and industry insights.

Suggested project ideas include:

• Animations
• Films
• Audio recordings and pod-casting content
• Visual art projects
• School Projects
• A new creative concept that you would like to develop, but are not sure where to begin

The aim of these sessions is to develop longer term and larger creative endeavours.

The workshop space is equipped with easels, benches and drawing boards. We also have access to various digital creative tools including; DSLR cameras, video cameras, audio recording equipment, 3D printers, laptops, drawing tablets and a photo scanner.

Snacks and drinks are provided.

If participants have specific art material needs, be sure to bring them along as well.

Places are limited and bookings are essential. Bookings will be available at the event if not sold out prior.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Your attendance at events supported by Mid-Western Regional Council may be digitally recorded through photographs and/or video recordings. Images may be used for promotional purposes on council's websites, publications, social media or by newspapers. By attending this session you agree to these terms. If you do not wish your image to be published, please notify staff before the event.
• This event is for those aged 12-24 only.
• We cannot accommodate participants who have not made a booking in their own name.
• If you are unable to attend please cancel your tickets as soon as possible. This will enable others to participate. Ticket holders who fail to attend 3 sessions without cancelling their ticket, may be ineligible to attend future events.
• Inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated at events and may limit attendance at future events hosted by Mid-Western Regional Youth.
• Please arrive 5 minutes early to allow time to check in. This assists the program to run on schedule.
• Tickets are not transferable.
