FAQs

Can I have my submissions evaluated via before delivery?

We do ask that entrants submit a digital copy of their work via email to map@midwestern.nsw.gov.au before the online closing date on 18 November. This will enable us to evaluate the quantity of entries along with the calibre of works before delivery. In the event that the selection panel makes the decision not to accept a work, the entrant will be notified via the email provided on their entry form between the 18 and 22 November - ie before the delivery date on 30 November.

Overall we hope to include as many entries as possible in the final exhibition however, we hope people will understand that this is a competition and that it may not always be possible.

Are there size restrictions on artwork?

MAP has not imposed any restrictions. That said we do ask entrants to include the dimensions of their work on their digital submission to help in the selection process before delivery.

Is there an exhibition fee?

There is no fee to participate in the MAP Portrait Prize.

Can I submit a portrait of an animal?

No, the MAP Portrait Prize is open for submissions of artworks with human subjects.
