Mudgee Airport - Commercial lease

Council is currently seeking expressions of interest for the lease of commercial land at Mudgee Airport, George Campbell Drive, Mudgee.

13 fully serviced lots are available for long term lease and development, created specifically to cater to airport industry development.

The land release has been developed through implementation of the Mudgee Airport Masterplan which will, through stage development, see further release of land over time bringing the full framework of staged land release as outlined in the Masterplan to fruition.  

The lots are located only 5km from the Mudgee CBD and have direct airside access to the taxiways and runway network, AVGas & JetA1 fuel and other services located at the airport.

Development opportunities

All applications and development proposals will be subject to Council approval however development that is incidental or ancillary to development for air transport facilities would be considered appropriate development and suit objectives of the zone and purpose of Air Transport Facility.  

Independent enquiries should be made to Council’s Planning department to discuss development proposals on these lots prior to lodging an application to lease.

Development proposals could include for example: flying schools, aircraft maintenance, or industry focussed cleaning of aeroplanes.

Application to lease and develop

Applications to lease and develop airport land should be made online and include an outline of the proposed development, lease term and any additional requirements or considerations.

Applicants will be responsible for all costs associated with:

  • Legal costs (if applicable)
  • Council applications
  • Construction costs
  • All approvals, consents and licences (where applicable) associated with the development/business.
