COVID-19: How Council is responding

Last updated 10 August 2020

Mid-Western Regional Council is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its staff and our community, and in an effort to do so and further limit the spread of COVID-19 will be making some changes to services.

Decisions to do so have not been made lightly, but are essential to protect our community and comply with state and federal government social distancing orders.

Along with ensuring the safety of our community, among Council’s key objectives is to provide essential information about any change in services and facility operation in line with government advice.

Council is providing rate relief to support residents through the COVID-19 crisis. Residents can apply for a payment extension of rates due in May and August 2020, to a new date of 30 September 2020. Further, Council will waive any interest charges that would normally accrue on outstanding payments for the period up until 30 September 2020. To apply for this assistance please complete the COVID-19 Rate Relief Application Form.
