Grants Program

The objective of the Grants Program is to provide financial assistance to groups and individuals that offer a significant contribution to the social, economic and/or environmental well being of the Community.

New programs/projects will be most favourably received.

There are four (4) funding categories and recipients will only be eligible to receive one allocation in any one financial year.

Category 1:  Quarterly assessed – Up to $1,000 p.a. per application

The specific funding levels for representation by an individual or group from the Community within this category is to assist an individual or a group in their particular pursuit of representation.

Category 2:  Annually allocated – $1,001 to $10,000 per annum – applications close 1 February each year

Grants in excess of $1,000 but less than $10,000 are allocated on an annual basis and applicants must apply by February 1 each year to ensure your application is assessed in time to be included in the following financial year’s budget process.

Category 3:  Multi-year or funding in excess of $10,001 per annum – Annually assessed

Applications must be received on or before 1 February each year for consideration in the following financial year’s budget preparation process

Category 4:  Rates reimbursement – Annually assessed – non-profit organisations only.

The Council will review applications annually from non-profit organisations to offer property rates re-imbursement (including rates for Crown land) for the subsequent financial year.
