Local Government Information Sessions

Council will be hosting a Local Government Information Session for those interested in standing as a Councillor in the next eleciton.

The session will guide potential candidates to the source of important information they must consider when nominating as a candidate, including how, when and what is required. General questions will be answered about the role of a councillor: How much of my time will being a councillor require? What about my expenses and the provision of facilities as a councillor? What information is available to assist me understanding the role of a councillor? How are council meetings planned and conducted?
