Nestled on the banks of the Cudgegong River is the Rylstone Showground, a quaint country showground that boasts plenty of open space, picturesque settings and a variety of facilities.
The local Rylstone Show is held annually, on the last Saturday in February and an annual Swap meeting is held on the 3rd Sunday in May.
The showground offers several open grassed areas, including a large main arena which is enclosed by post and rail fencing, and utilised for sporting events such as soccer groups, the local Pony Club group and as a rodeo arena during the Rylstone Show.
The smaller ovals adjacent to the main arena are utilised for dog shows and working dog trials. There is also a 'leash free' dog exercise area along the banks of the river.
The facilities available range from cattle and sheep yards, horse day yards, kiosk building, office and amenities building, bbq area and several public toilet facilities, including disabled toilet.
The showgrounds picturesque setting and open space makes its an ideal location for family gatherings.
