Mid-Western Regional Council manages four community buildings that are available for hire by community groups and individuals.

Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium

The Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium was oficially opened in April, 2012. Within the stadium there are two small meeting rooms available for hire. Kitchen facilities and furniture are also available. Click here for more details.

Mudgee Showground Pavilion

The Mudgee Showground Pavilion was oficially opened in March, 2012. The pavilion is the ideal space for a variety of functions from exhibitions to weddings.

Rylstone Hall

Rylstone Hall is centrally located in the main promenade of the Rylstone shopping area, providing an easy walk to local shops, convenience store, cafes, hotels and post office.

The main floor area is approximately 28m x 11m and is adjoined at one end by a large curtained stage which includes dressing rooms.

Having had a newly refurbished commercial size kitchen installed in 2008, which includes two sinks, gas cooking, large fridge, and providing plenty of bench space for food preparation , it could also be utilised for catering purposes and has previously been hired for large and small events, exhibitions, shows, balls and weddings.

Off-street parking is available, and provides direct access to the hall. The Hall is also located on the perimeter of Rylstone Showground, providing a scenic backdrop to any function.

Kandos Hall

Kandos Hall is an historical building built in 1954 and is located near the centre of the town of Kandos providing an easy walk to local shops and cafes.

The hall offers a large area of open space suitable for but not limited to, exhibitions, balls, shows, and weddings, with the possibilities being endless. Non-exclusive regular hire may also be considered for the Kandos Hall.

The available floor area is approximately 30m x 11m and is joined at one end by a large curtained stage (an additional 8m x 5m area), with dressing rooms and at the opposite end there is an upstairs viewing area providing views to the stage, and below is a large kitchen, including fridges, gas cooking, and loads of bench space capable of providing catering facilities for events.

In 2008 the Hall was revamped, which included an interior colour change, polished floor boards, installation of gas heating, and the purchase of over 90 new chairs which are all included in the hire of the building. In addition, there are also 23 oblong tables, as well over 200 older style steel chairs available for use if required.

Gulgong Memorial Hall

Gulgong Memorial Hall is located in Herbert Street, close to the centre of the historical town of Gulgong. It directly adjoins Anzac Memorial Park and Playground. The hall is an accommodating venue offering a variety of facilities and its central location makes it popular for meetings, birthday parties and dance classes. Numerous exhibitions are also held throughout the year.

The annual Gulgong Eisteddfod is held in the hall during the month of May. In excess of 800 contestants travel from as far as Inverell to the north and Canberra to the south just to attend this event at the Gulgong Memorial Hall.

The hall was recently treated to newly installed gas heating, ceiling fans, curtains, and new lining to the stage for dance students and productions. The hall is continuously undergoing refurbishment which includes the installation of a new industrial kitchen within the next 12 months.

A permanent user of the Gulgong Memorial Hall is the Step Up & Dance Academy of Gulgong. Regular dance classes are conducted covering Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Contemporary & Stretch/Pilate's. The Stables - Community & Cultural Centre

The Old Police Stables were built in 1887, and used as stabling for police horses. It was later acquired by the then Mudgee Shire Council and converted from horse stables to the current building to support exhibitions and various events.

Located central to the Mudgee CBD with a short walk to shops, restaurants and local parks, the Stables complex has proved to be a popular venue for exhibitions, events, training, and meetings.

The Stables offers two sperate areas, the Meeting Room and the Gallery, which can be hired individually or hired together and opened up to include both rooms for the one event. The Meeting Room is carpeted and has lighting suitable for art exhibitions. The Gallery has timber flooring and lighting also suitable for art exhibitions. Both rooms are approximately the same size and air conditioned. In addition there is a large adjoining kitchen suitable for catering for large events, and tables and chairs are available for use in either room.
