Getting to the Charity Shield, Saturday 2 March

FREE SHUTTLE BUS

Services will pick up and return from the below locations. A low-floor bus will be available for patrons requiring assistance. Buses commence from 4.30pm, and return at the conclusion of the main game.

1. Mudgee West Loop

Stops:

  • Nicholson Street, near pine trees
  • White Circle and Banjo Paterson intersection (south)
  • White Circle and Banjo Paterson intersection (north)
  • Ingenia Holiday Park, Bell Street
  • Cox Street, opposite West End Food Store

2. Mudgee CBD Loop

Stops:

  • Mudgee Tourist Office, Market Street
  • Mudgee High School, Perry Street (Victoria Park side)
  • St Matthew's Catholic School, Lewis Street

3. Mudgee Racecourse,
    Ulan Road

ON FOOT

Glen Willow Stadium is a short one kilometre walk from Mudgee CBD across the Holyoake Footbridge.


PARKING

Limited parking will be available at the Mudgee Racecourse with a $2 donatio to volunteer groups, payable on entry. Parking is available at all shuttle bus pickup locations. Strictly no public parking will be permitted at the venue or on Pitts Lane on game day.

NOTE: Vehicles displaying a disabled parking pass will also be permitted to park in the car park areas on Pitts Lane directly across form the stadium.


GATE ENTRY

There will be two (2) ticketed entry gates to the stadium:

  • GATE 2 (best entry for General Admission)
  • MAIN GATE (best for ticket purchases and Grand Stand seating)

On egress, pedestrians will be able to exit from both the Main Gate and Gate 2.


PURCHASING TICKETS

Due to expected high demand for tickets, it is recommended that you pre-purchase your tickets through Ticketek. Tickets will be available to purchase on game day at the Box Office (located at Main Gate entry). 

Please note: there will be strictly no pass-outs. 


ROAD CLOSURES

Pitts Lane will be closed from 9.00am to 11.00pm on Saturday 2 March 2019 and Sunday 19 May 2019 except for access to residents, VIP vehicles and public transport.

Please obey all signs and travel with care. Council thanks you for your co-operation and apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.


CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

No alcohol or glass will be permitted to be brought in to Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium. Security will be in place to enforce this rule and conduct bag checks. Picnic rugs and chairs are permitted to be brought in to the Stadium. Please see below event conditions to the ground and cooperate with any requests from security.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE FACILITIES

There will be a number of food and beverage outlets open during the event operating from the eastern and western side of the ground.

FAMILY HILL

The alcohol-free family hill area will be located under the scoreboard at the southern end of the ground.

ATM FACILITIES

There will be no ATM facilities available at the game.

Make a weekend of it and enjoy the annual Mudgee Show and Rodeo Friday 1, Charity Shield Saturday 2, and Mudgee Race Club Championship Heat Sunday 3 March.
