The project has delivered an extension to the Town Hall building that doubles the library floor space, improves accessibility to the Library and Theatre and improves the technology and meeting room services available through this important community hub. The Theatre is now a multi-function cultural space capable of hosting live theatre, meetings, exhibitions and movies.

While funding for the Mudgee Town Hall project has been predominately through Council funds, acknowledgement is given to other funding bodies:

  • $200,000 has been provided by the Library Council of New South Wales through the Country Libraries Fund
  • $100,000 has been provided through the Accessible Communities Fund by the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs
  • $35,000 has been provided through State Government Community Building Partnership Fund
  • $35,000 has been provided by the State Government Heritage Branch of the Office of Environment and Heritage
