Genealogy and Local History
Genealogy
Many people are interested in tracing their family history. The best place to begin is with any facts about your family that you know and work backwards. Ask relatives about dates and people, listening to stories about the family can produce interesting facts.
Mid-Western Regional Council Library holds resources that provide information on births, deaths and marriages for each state in Australia. Pioneer registers and information on convict ships is also available.
Please ask any of our librarians for assistance to start tracing your family tree.
