History

In 2004 the County Council comprising Coolah, Rylstone, and Mudgee Shires was disbanded as part of local Council amalgamation.  Boundaries were altered as part of this process and now Coolah and some parts of the former Rylstone Shire are covered by neighbouring LGA’s. 

MWRC now covers approximately 900,000 hectares, including 13,000 properties.  Currently there are four Inspectors available to conduct property inspections for Noxious Weeds.  Property inspections are conducted under the authority of the Noxious Weeds Act 1993

Goals and Objectives

Our goals and objectives are to raise awareness, encourage the establishment and maintenance of effective control programs of noxious weeds across the MWRC community. To do this, effective communication and correct information and education is made available to all landholders and occupiers.  When necessary, legal action will be taken where non-compliance is evident.

Identification and Control 


Noxious Weeds Inspectors are available for information and may be contacted between 8.30am and 4.00pm weekdays.
